Close to Gyokusendo Cave, Gangara Valley is a subtropical forest that has collapsed from the place where it was a limestone cave until several hundred thousand years ago.
When you hear that it is a subtropical forest, you can think of a hard road through the jungle.
However, this is a well-organized sidewalk.
Regardless of age, you can experience the nature that has been passed down since ancient times.

The moment you see a banyan tree that feels godly, you feel the five senses being awakened.
Have a clear conversation with the banyan tree that has been here for hundreds of years.

Onna Village attracted attention for its beautiful coastline with coral reefs at the International Ocean Expo held in 1975.
It has developed as a big resort.

Misaki Maeda in this village is a popular spot for diving and snorkeling.
It is named “Blue Cave” because the sea surface inside the cave shines mysteriously blue due to the reflection of sunlight.
If you dive here, small fish will come and go as if welcome.

Although it is crowded because it is a very popular spot, you can fully enjoy the “Blue World” in the early hours until 9 am or after 3 pm.

Of course, even if you don’t enter the sea, you can see the beautiful sea around Cape Maeda from the observation deck.

There is “Manzamo” about 20 minutes by car from Cape Maeda.
The best scenic spot in Onna Village.
A rock shaped like an elephant’s nose is famous on a cliff of about 20m in height consisting of raised rocks.

The name Manzamo was called “the hair that is enough to sit all” (“hair” is a dialect in the dialect) when Ryukyu King Shokei visited this area in the early 18th century. It is derived from the barking.
As this origin shows, the top of the cliff is a square covered with natural grass.
You can sit down and watch the sea slowly.

The sea around here is so transparent that the rocks can be seen through, and there is no doubt that you will be impressed by its beauty.

If you go to the northern part of the main island, you will definitely want to meet the natural monument “Yanbarukina”, a national monument that only lives here.
In the “Kuina Forest” in Kunigami Village, there is an ecological display of Yanbaru Kina that is hard to see even in the wild.

Yanbaruina is said to stay together until one of them dies once they become a couple.
Would you like to meet such a “bird of love”?

10.Cruise the subtropical forest at Bios Hill

The Bios Hill is a natural botanical garden where you can observe subtropical plants and flowers of “Ran”.
You can walk around in the vast garden of about 75,000 tsubo, ride a buffalo cart, and explore the lake by canoe.
It is a spot that can be enjoyed regardless of age.

We recommend a jungle cruise on a lake admiring boat.
They will also tell you more about the creatures that live on the lakeside.
