“Kokusai Street” is about 15 minutes by car from Naha Airport and is easily accessible.
“Kokusai Street” is also called “Miracle of Mile”.
The reason is that after the war, the prefecture quickly recovered and the street length is 1 mile.

“One mile of miracle” is the biggest downtown area in Okinawa.

There are restaurants and souvenir shops full of Okinawan taste unlike Honshu.
It is a classic tourist spot where you can walk around the city and shop, but the back street is attracting attention now.
There are a variety of gems that can only be found here, such as traditional shops, general merchandise shops that handle Okinawan craft works by young artists, and cafes that focus on local production for local consumption. Each street has its own characteristics, so be sure to walk and feel the difference.

2. Touch the glory of the Ryukyu Kingdom at the World Heritage “Shuri Castle”

This was not in Japan for 450 years from 1429 to 1879.
As another country, the Ryukyu Kingdom flourished.

Shuri Castle was the center of politics, diplomacy and culture in the Ryukyu Kingdom.
You can appreciate the unique architectural styles and stonework techniques that fuse Chinese and Japanese castle culture.
“Shuri Castle” was highly valued culturally and historically, and was registered as a World Cultural Heritage in 2000.

You can feel the culture and prosperity of the Kingdom of Ryukyu from its main figure of red roof tiles, vivid vermilion and sculptures of dragons.
During the day, the vermilion castle that shines in the blue sky is lit up at sunset.
The “Shuri Castle at Night” that appears in the dark is also worth seeing.

About 40 minutes by car from Churaumi Aquarium.
There is a spot that I really want to go around.
This is Okinawa! Kourijima is a small remote island with a blue sea and a white sandy beach.

If you say a remote island, there is an image of crossing by boat, but you can go to Kouri Island by car across the bridge.
The sea seen from this Kouri Bridge is a magnificent view.

Kouri Island has an Okinawan version of Adam and Eve.
Locally, it has been called “Koi no Shima” since ancient times.
We recommend that you stop by at Tinu Beach, where the heart-shaped rock “Heart Rock” is located.

4. Engage in dynamic Acer at Ryukyu Village

In Ryukyu Village, you can watch the traditional Okinawan dance “Eisa”.
Acer is a dance that dances in the hope of family safety and health while picking up the spirits of ancestors who have returned to the world in Obon.
The sounds of the drums that are adorable in the sky and the heroic dances of young people who are not disturbed are attractive.

In Ryukyu Village, powerful Acer dances are performed all year round.
In addition to watching, you can dance together at the finale.
Please jump in without being shy.

5. Safe even in the rain! Let’s go to the best limestone cave “Tamazumi-dong”, visited by 1 million people a year.

Even though I came to travel, it was raining … Have you ever experienced that?
“Okinawa World” is about 30 minutes south of Naha Airport by car.
It is a tourist facility that you can enjoy with confidence even during the typhoon season.

The centerpiece is “Taizumi Cave”, famous as “Toyo’s Best Limestone Cave”.
There are 37 kinds of stalactites in the cave nationwide.
Not only the number but also the high density, there are 1 million stalactites!
Overwhelmed by the mysterious world created by nature.

During the summer, there are also tours that explore private areas with specialized instructors.
If you like activities, check it out.
