Daimon

The present building was rebuilt in Baosui 2 (1705).
It is an imposing style representing alpine Buddhism, with the Kongo Rikishi statue on both sides.

Danjo Garan
It is said that Koubou Daishi lived.
There are many buildings designated as national treasures and important cultural properties that are said to be a symbol of KOYASAN.
In addition, it is said that if you go around Hexadon Hall with the clasp at Danjo Garan, you will benefit as much as reading the passage.
Reihokan
It was also built in 1921 with a rare architectural style.
Exhibits with a history of 1200 years are displayed.

Daishi Church
It was erected in 1925 to commemorate the 1100th anniversary of KOYASAN.
Kobo Daishi is in the main shrine, and Aizen Myoo and Fudo Myoo in the side Buddha.
Exposition of KOYASAN Shingonshu (Buddhist of KOYASAN style), various training sessions, workshops, etc. are held.

Kongo Temple

Entrance to the approach

Women were not allowed to enter Yamauchi from here until 1872 when women were forbidden, and they visited KOYASAN through women’s roads. In the past, there were women’s halls at each of the seven entrances that enter Yamauchi, “Takano-Nanaguchi”, but now only this one at Fudozaka has retained its image.
