Himeji Castle

Himeji Castle is a castle located in Himeji City.
Located near JR Himeji Station in the center of Himeji City, you can also view the tower from the Shinkansen Home of Himeji Station.

The white walled castle tower is very beautiful and popular with the alias of Shirasagi Castle.
The castle remains at the time of its construction, and is considered a national treasure of Japan.

And in 1993, Himeji Castle has been registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
From 2009 to 2015, large-scale preservation and repair work of the Tenshu proceeded, and the appearance was renewed.

Hishi no Mon

When going up the gentle slope through the entrance of Himeji Castle, the first thing you can see is “Hishi no Mon”.
It is a lock that solidifies the entrance of the Ninomaru.
It is named “Hishi no Mon” because of the crown of the wood carving on the crown of the two pillars. A gate that retains the style of the Azuchi Momoyama period, and is the largest gate in Himeji Castle.

The main attraction of Himeji Castle is the castle tower.
Himeji Castle is said to be Castle large keep.
Himeji Castle is located at a height of 45.6 meters, and there is a stone wall with a height of 14.85 meters, a castle building, and a tower 31.5 meters.
The sea level is about 92 meters high.
Castle large keep is a structure on the first basement, 6 floors above the ground.
